Electronically available literature databases paid for within the framework of the Electronic Information Service (EISZ) national programme are listed in Annex II. Enrolled readers of Ferenc Rákóczi Library can access them remotely, even from home, with so-called eduID access.
For remote/eduID access, the username is always the number of the reader's ticket, and the password is normally the month and day of birth. (0405 for 5 April).
II. The following databases, which are paid for by Ferenc Rákóczi Library within the framework of the Electronic Information Service (EISZ) national programme, can be accessed with remote (so-called eduID) access:
ACADEMIC DIGITAL ARCHIVES? The collection contains scientific books from the period between 1950 and 1996 (in smaller numbers from 1996 onwards), which were written in the intellectual workshop of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and published by the Akadémiai Kiadó (Academic Publisher), among them a number of foundations that are still a determining source in its field. MeRSZ (https://mersz.hu) can be accessed in a database. The aim of the archive, which covers 2.5 million pages of 8,000 volumes of about half a century, is to make this unparalleled wealth of books widely available for research. Log in
ACADEMIC PUBLICATION ONLINE COURSES (AKJOURNALS) ? The package of the Academic Publishing House containing a total of 80 international and domestic journals, mostly directed by Hungarian editors, presents the new results of the most diverse fields of natural and social sciences and medical sciences in a wide range of depths. The journals, which are the preferred publication forum of Hungarian researchers, have been referred without exception, most of them have an impact factor, and some of them have become the most important journals in the given field of science worldwide. ACCIDENTAL EXPENDITURE DOWNLOAD? The online smartbook library of the Akadémiai Publisher contains hundreds of Hungarian language manuals, specialized books, higher education textbooks, notes in full text, searchable, noteable and referenceable form. MeRSZ provides a responsive, unified look on all devices and environments. At the beginning of 2021, more than 700 works can be accessed from a wide range of disciplines, from biology to musicology. L’HARMATTAN BOOK ISSUER ? Founded in 1999, L?Harmattan Publishing House has published some 1,900 scientific works in the past 21 years, with numerous publications and series published by universities and research institutes, primarily in the field of humanities and social sciences. In recent years, he has published about 150-170 volumes a year and currently manages more than 150 book series. The L’Harmattan Open Access and Archive platform, which is the successor to the L’Harmattan Digital Database, provides access to nearly 100 books and some 1600 paid publications published by the publisher in open access. OSIRIS DIGITAL DATABASE ? In recent years, Osiris Publishing has become one of the most well-known and demanding scientific and literary books in Hungary. Since its inception (1994), it has played a decisive role in the publishing of books on humanities and social sciences, higher education and literature in Hungary, and at the same time it acts as an intellectual workshop. WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHT EXPRESSING? Gondolat Publisher was founded in 1957 and its profile extended to the whole field of natural sciences, social sciences and arts. The publisher placed great emphasis on the Hungarian edition of the most important works of international literature, including those of Western authors and researchers. The database, containing more than 2,700 volumes, contains volumes published by the publisher between 1957 and 1995, including countless basic works that are still a significant source in its field.
