Tompa Mihály Library

Lending began on 15 September 1954 in the public library, which can be considered the legal predecessor of Mihály Tompa Library, located in the Martin-kertváros area. Today, the library operates in a new location, in a renovated building, on an area of 240 square meters.
It awaits its readers with more than 26,000 volumes, classical and contemporary adult and children's literature, educational books, electronic documents, newspapers and periodicals.
Tailored to the needs of the small-garden part of the settlement, there is a particularly rich selection of agricultural and horticultural educational works. kindergartens and primary school children can choose from a range of books tailored to their age and interests in the section designed for them. The DVDs also feature a number of compulsive literature adaptations and several film successes and fairy-tale films.
This is the only community space in the district where public education programs, writer-reader meetings, chamber exhibitions, popular lectures, competitions, festive events and competitions organized together with the local primary school and kindergarten are waiting for the visitors.
Free workshops are continuously held for primary school and kindergarten groups, supplemented with handcrafts.
